The Center  |  The History  |  The Organization

THE HISTORY

It all started with an idea...

In the early eighties, the idea of establishing a Center to serve the needs of individuals with special needs took form and – through the efforts of parents of special needs children – became a rented villa accommodating five students; the Center was named ‘5 Aces’.

Through the endeavors of the Board of Governors, who are still actively involved, the Center expanded to serve the needs of an increased number of students.  From that very point up to this very day, the Center has always been a proudly-charitable, non-profit organization.

The story of a kind donation…

H.H The Late Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum kindly donated two beach-side villas in Jumeirah.  Over the years, the Center has received immense support and encouragement from H.H The Late Sheikh Maktoum

Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as well as H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum – Vice President of the U.A.E, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

In the early 1990, H.H Sheikh Ahmed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Commander-Military Command, very kindly donated a large piece of land (300,000 sq. ft.).  Upon this land, a Center with the capacity to accommodate approximately 200 students was built by 1995.
